VP, Business Strategy (Omni-channel Development) - Tommy Hilfiger

The VP Business Strategy acts as internal consultant to business channel leads by evaluating customer needs and market trends, ultimately making recommendations for action in alignment with the Company’s overall strategy.

The role is responsible for managing high impact, long-term strategic initiatives across both Wholesale, Retail and Licensed business channels by focusing on strategic development and building effective business plans, from concept to deployment.


  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the industry and market trends, competitive threats and consumers

  • Deliver business and market insights to business leaders so they can drive decision-making, execution and investments for specific initiatives

  • Lead the problem solving process by managing the structure if issues, the running of analysis and the development of actionable recommendations for the business

  • Identify commercial opportunities to grow the business in North America

  • Identify and assess business development opportunities (partnerships, channels, M&A etc.)

  • Interact with senior management team to bring/share strategic and business insights to the organization

  • Support ongoing implementation of initiatives

  • Formulate and drive key strategic initiatives

  • Lead due diligence process

  • Lead new business integration

  • Maintain awareness of retail, fashion and aspirational market trends


  • Undergraduate Degree; Post Graduate Degree preferred (MBA)

  • 7-10+ years of experience in a strategic business partner role required

  • Must be able to analyze metrics and develop data driven insights and solutions

  • Accountable for business plan formulation from concept to completion. Active influencer in strategic decision making

  • Ability to identify key issues/opportunities and develop action plans in a timely manner

  • Rapidly adapt and respond to changes in environment and priorities

  • Must have strong listening skills and possesses the ability to capture the perspectives of diverse stakeholders, in order to develop a unified plan and solution

  • Strong financial modeling skills

  • Strong communication skills, with ability to communicate with senior executives

  • Able to multi-task and manage multiple projects at one time

  • Departmental T&E budgetary responsibility

  • Must be able to work independently and be self-sufficient, but also must be able to act as a team leader and collaborator

  • Strong interest in and knowledge of fashion/retail industry

  • Ability to travel, both domestically and internationally, if required
