Vice President, Art Director, Global Marketing Group - CALVIN KLEIN

Responsible for developing and executing integrated creative solutions across all consumer touch-points in support of marketing-driven business briefs for designated Calvin Klein brands in partnership with creative agency of record. Lead in-house creative team that works in conjunction with creative agency of record.


  • Integrate the brand vision through creative and design aesthetic for designated campaigns across all channels

  • Establish creative goals and deliver strategic solutions to meet creative and business objectives

  • Manages in-house Art Directors/Creative team to ensure the team delivers integrated, compelling creative work across all communication disciplines; establishes full accountability for adherence to brand standards

  • Works closely with the Marketing team to ensure work developed by their creative team meets each project’s business needs

  • Works collaboratively with EVP Fashion Office, Print and Broadcast Shoot Production on selection of photographers, stylists and talent for photo shoots

  • Works with EVP Marketing Operations and project management team to assign appropriate teams based on project needs

  • Works closely with Fashion Director and Fashion Coordinators to ensure all product is correctly represented

  • Collaborates with VP Integrated Production to select appropriate vendors for execution

  • Works closely with Production to ensure all projects are delivered on time and within budget.

  • Oversees or delegates oversight of asset creation, including photo/film shoots, editing, music mixes, digital, etc.

  • Maintains external professional relationships to assure the ongoing availability of specialized expertise, gifted freelancers and reputable studios when their services are needed

  • Supports CK regional offices and licensees as requested

  • Makes pro-active recommendations to EVP Fashion Office for organizational structure and individual staffing needs

  • Mentor, lead and inspire vision for designers, artists and writers

  • Commit to the professional development of the creative team



  • Minimum 10 year’s leadership experience working with large-scale marketing and/or advertising agencies. Specialty Retail experience a plus.

  • Demonstrated experience managing, leading and developing teams

  • Experience working with cross-functional partners and leadership at all levels

  • Proven track record of leading projects from concept to completion, applying best practices with the ability to prioritize and creatively problem-solve

  • Expert knowledge of fashion, editorial, photography, design, video/film and retail merchandising

  • Demonstrate relentlessly high standards, fostering passion, integrity and energy

  • High level of influencing and negotiating effectively and efficiently with a high degree of collaboration

  • Expertise conceptualizing strategic ideas through an Omni-channel approach

  • Experience creating compelling, well-structured narratives and innovative creative work that are in line with the business strategy and shape and refine it in partnership with business partners.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Fine or Applied Arts or equivalent experience


  • Ability to design under constraints and stay current with changing technology

  • Ability to think strategically and lead to execution

  • Ability to influence, develop, and enhance the strategy development process; able to fuse creativity with strong business acumen.

  • Self-motivated, flexible individual with strong communication and leadership skills.

  • Proven ability to proactively establish rapport, credibility and influence, and drive results throughout a highly matrixed organization.

  • Embraces change and is highly adaptable

  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and thrive in fast paced environment.

  • Ability to problem solve and be flexible to other’s ideas when faced with challenges in everyday work flow.

  • Highly level of proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including In Design, Illustrator and Photoshop
