SVP, Business Strategy - Tommy Hilfiger

The SVP of Business Strategy partners with other senior management to discuss strategies, objectives, and obstacles. A critical function of the role is to lead the organization’s planning and execution of strategies to increase sales and company growth, with oversight of all business development planning, operations and policy.


  • In-depth knowledge of the industry and market trends, competitive threats and consumers

  • Lead the problem solving process by managing the structure, the running of analysis, business models and the development of actionable recommendations for the business

  • Manage business development team

  • Oversee business process improvement initiatives

  • Identify commercial opportunities to grow the business in North America

  • Interact with senior management team to bring/share strategic and business insights to the organization

  • Support ongoing implementation of initiatives

  • Formulate and drive key strategic initiatives

  • Lead due diligence process

  • Lead new business integration

  • Partner in development and execution of multi-channel sales strategies to meet short and long term sales and profit goals

  • Work closely with CEO/EVP Finance in discussing sales and marketing strategies, development of new markets, and other issues requiring senior executive attention

  • Ensures that the resources and personnel necessary for implementing strategies are in place


  • Undergraduate degree; Post Graduate Degree preferred (MBA)

  • 10-15+ years of experience in a strategic business partner role required

  • Must be able to analyze metrics and develop data driven insights and solutions

  • Ability to identify key issues/opportunities and develop action plans in a timely manner

  • Rapidly adapt and respond to changes in environment and priorities

  • Full oversightand accountability for business plan formulation from concept to completion

  • Must have strong listening skills and possesses the ability to capture the perspectives of diverse stakeholders, in order to develop a unified plan and solution

  • Strong financial modeling skills

  • Strong communication skills, with ability to communicate with senior executives

  • Maintain department budget and financial oversight of all project initiatives and resources

  • Able to multi-task and manage multiple projects at one time

  • Strong interest in and knowledge of fashion/retail industry

  • Ability to travel, both domestically and internationally, if required

  • Must be able to work independently and be self-sufficient, but also must be able to act as a team leader and collaborator
