Manager, RFID Field Operations - Tommy Hilfiger

The Manager, RFID Field Operations will serve as the store organizational internal lead as the company rolls out RFID technology to its outlet stores in North America. The internal lead will be responsible for representing the Store organization during the course of the rollout, as its primary liaison with IT, Logistics, Merchandise Allocation and Planning, Asset Protection and the project’s PMO, along with external partners (consultants and technology vendors). The lead will also be responsible for closely monitoring operational data to proactively identify and resolve emerging issues, ensuring all stores are using the RFID system consistently and correctly.

The successful candidate will have past senior experience in stores (general manager, district manager); Training & Development experience an asset. The successful candidate will have Senior Field Leadership experience preferably to include warehouse/offsite and multistore. Training Development, Kronos and excel experience additional assets.

Responsibilities:

Deploy & Support Stores:

  • Champion the needs of Store teams throughout the deployment process, ensuring that what is delivered meets the Store organization’s needs

  • Prioritize store performance issues to ensure that stores are always able to carry out their RFID tasks

  • Define & Coach on the Store RFID SOPs and immediately address any lapses in compliance

  • Coach district managers and store managers and serve as a resource to all store employees to inspire the success of each store’s RFID Program

  • Communicate solutions and benefits to all stores; including knowledge transfer and training for ongoing management of features

  • Be the first line of contact for any RFID related inquiries from stores and source to the appropriate internal teams

  • Co-Ordinate all required on site visits

  • Manage the tracking of hardware / supply shipments inbound to the stores

Store Subject Matter Expert amongst Internal/External Business Groups:

  • Aggregate feedback from stores and interface with the business, our consulting partners and with solution vendors to implement a continuous improvement program

  • Proactively identify emerging problems. Outline mitigation options, recommend solutions, and escalate as needed

  • Anticipate upstream and downstream impacts of the project and work with internal business groups to adjust business tools and practices

  • Develop supporting business cases, including financial impact and benefits statements, to support feature/functionality concepts. Sell those concepts to internal audiences through persuasive oral and written presentations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 5-8+ years of demonstrated related experience

  • Knowledge of RFID

  • Knowledge of backroom organization

  • Operational excellence and efficiencies

  • Show high levels of personal flexibility and resilience during periods of organizational change

  • Change agile and comfortable in leading technology-based innovation and roll-outs to stores

  • Comfortable in balancing creativity (example, contributing to development of innovative store processes), with a blend of promoting discipline and perseverance (execution of SOP’s)

  • Can successfully lead learning at all levels in the retail field and corporate teams

  • Ability to plan productive stores visits and mentor district managers throughout all regions

  • Analytical; ability to link store process to company benefit and ROI

  • Strong communication (oral & written), and presentation skills

  • Significant travel across North America with extended stays is necessary for this role

  • Strong organizational skills, including ability to prioritize

  • Strong negotiation skills

  • Professional demeanor and proactive approach

  • Ability to interface with all levels within the organization

  • Ability to think and act independently

  • Strong work ethic

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to multi-task and be flexible to changing priorities

  • MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and MS Outlook

  • Will act as a leader of RFID committees/task force for designing, training and retail field development strategies and programs. Position would be inclusive of communication to training managers and district manager teams for RFID

  • This role can be remote

  • Frequent travel required. Expectation will be to travel at least 2-3 weeks of every month

  • Ability to be in the TH NYC offices one week per month (approximate estimate)

  • Ability to work in fluid environment with changing priorities required

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities

  • Ability to interface with all levels within the organizations

  • Ability to think strategically and act tactically
