Director, Central Calendar - Tommy Hilfiger
The Director of Central Calendar must support brand growth by enabling and driving business strategies through calendar management, process improvement and effective communication.
Planning, supporting and measuring the effectiveness of the seasonal process and meetings across the organization are key functions of this role. They must work in collaboration with all departments to ensure milestones are captured in the business processes and calendar. They will be responsible for improving efficiencies, and supporting business goals and objectives.
Building process, understanding dependencies, managing deadlines, problem solving, and managing cross functional relationships are crucial to this position.
Mapping of 4 current seasons of key dates, milestones, all dates that have direct impact to calendar
Tracking of seasonal progress to ensure all milestones are completed
Complete ownership of calendar tool (selected tool = Smart Sheet)
Updating & escalation of all progress, wins, pain points to senior leadership (weekly for first season progressing twice a month pending progress)
Quarterly hind-sighting to cross functional teams as needed
Monitors calendar deliverables, prioritizes activities and collaborates with functional leaders to ensure timelines are maintained and milestone objectives are met
Proactively seeks out solutions to potential cross functional issues that may affect the calendar, process and organization
Ability to challenge and refine business process to increase calendar effectiveness
Collaborates with cross functional leaders to solve calendar stop gaps and improve work flow
5+ years of industry experience; project management experience, preferred
Prior experience in creating/managing calendars
Proven ability to create & implement new processes
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products: Excel, Power point, Project, Word
Self-motivated with excellent communication skills
Ability to drive timelines and keep teams on task
Willing to adopt unpopular positions to ensure consistency across all brands
Ability to maintain poise and a positive attitude in a challenging environment
Strong people skills that can bring/unite teams together around varying business solutions
Must be flexible & prove effective in fast paced environments & able to work with all levels of the organization
Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
Ability to coordinate multiple projects; must be detail oriented and highly skilled in time management. Filter demand
Must build collaborative relationships amongst peers and senior leaders
A critical thinker who has a sense of creativity that is balanced by a strategic and analytical understanding of driving business forward
