CAD Designer I - CALVIN KLEIN

The CAD Designer is responsible for supporting the Calvin Klein Jeans Women’s and Men’s Design for Graphics/Logo.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:

  • Contribute graphic design ideas for Calvin Klein Jeans Retail, Mainline, Specialty off-price business.

  • Trend research with design team.

  • Support design teams in building seasonal color concept presentation boards.

  • Create Seasonal SKU boards.

  • Assists the Graphic design team in the development of tech packs.

  • Create development sheet for new trim, fabric and artwork developments

  • Update tech as needed.

  • Manage changes to designs and information that is sent to merchandising, technical design and development teams.

  • Manage creation and maintenance of style packages and seasonal design books.

  • Design, contribute and manage a certain percentage of the line to be pre-determined by Designer.

  • Support designer in all fittings.

  • Trend research with design team.

  • Create layouts for artwork and logo placements.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience:

  • Photoshop and Illustrator proficiency is required. Web PDM and Kaledo a plus.

  • Background in garment construction and graphic techniques.

  • Able to create repeats to support Textile/CAD.

  • Textile experience a plus. Ability to create layouts for artwork and logo placements in Illustrator/ Photoshop ideal.

Education: Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Design.

Skills:

  • Ability to create technical illustrations of styles.

  • Good sense of color and fabric is required.

  • Excellent communications skills and interpersonal skills.

  • Highly organized and detail oriented.

  • Ability to establish good relationships with key parties and department staff.

  • Flexibility to deadline demands, seasonal schedules.
